Public-private partnership is a concept that evolves. From the rudimentary partnership which is characterized by ahigh level of informality, a public-private partnerships have turned into a contractual relationship institutionalizedby public and private sectors and now include a wide range of organizational models. Some of them can be said toinclude significant public and private responsibilities related to planning, financing and implementation. So far agreat variety of new models of public-private partnershiphave been developed to address the various challenges, thatare set before the public-private partnerships in specific situations and sectors. Consequently, the synergy createdwithin the partnership can be extended to specific niches of infrastructural development. Models of public-privatepartnerships differ depending upon the participation of private capital in the project realisation and those related toinfrastructural projects will be the subject of this paper.
