Project portfolio management

The paper presents the basic characteristics of the project portfolio management process and the process itslef. The project portfolio management is a new project management discipline that incorporates a simultaneous management of a number of independent projects and programmes in order to achieve strategic objectives as well as overall positive results of the organization.
